Contemporary realist artist
based in Otago, New Zealand
Self-taught and working primarily in acrylics, Sheryl paints from photographs to capture quiet moments in time. Her work focuses on water reflections, boats, and coastal scenes inspired by Otago Harbour and Stewart Island, alongside old farmhouses and weathered objects where light, shadow, and texture bring stories to life.
Alongside her painting practice, Sheryl also undertakes commissions, graphic art, murals, and community-based creative projects.
